A unique cultural experience blending Eastern and Western traditions under the autumn moon.
On October 6, 2025, as we celebrate the traditional Chinese/Asian Mid-Autumn Festival, we warmly invite you to join us for a distinctive cultural event that bridges Eastern and Western traditions. The gathering will feature an engaging introduction to the historical legends of the Mid-Autumn Festival, a mooncake tasting, a tea tasting, moon gazing, and an appreciation of poetry from both Chinese and international traditions.
Adding a creative touch to the evening, Western melodies will be performed on Eastern instruments. At the same time, Eastern tunes will be rendered through Western instruments—offering a delightful contrast between the two cultures’ artistic interpretations of the moon.
This event is family-friendly and will feature a dedicated activity zone for children aged six and above, offering Mid-Autumn-themed Chinese and Western watercolor (or mixed-media collage) crafts and Chinese calligraphy, allowing participants to experience the joy of artistic creation.
So that they may revere and fear You while the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations. - Psalm 72:5
Here’s a recap video from the Qixi Festival 2025 we hosted.

Now is the time to seize the opportunity for an on-site teaching event locally in Alameda.
Welcome to the church members and community participants.
